Zambia’s development path is entering a new and focused phase. Under the leadership of President Hakainde Hichilema, the country is taking a practical approach that promotes production, innovation, and export-led growth.
The recently announced one million-tonne beef export plan clearly reflects this vision. It goes beyond expanding the livestock sector, it signals a broader shift towards value addition, increased agricultural productivity, and economic diversification under the New Dawn Government.
For many years, Zambia’s natural and human resources have shown great potential. The current emphasis on agriculture, land use, and rural enterprise development is about turning that potential into real economic progress.
Through support to farmers, cooperatives, and young innovators, the government is encouraging wider participation in national production and positioning Zambia as a major supplier within the region.
Beyond the beef industry, this direction shows a belief that lasting development depends on building industries that create jobs, boost exports, and improve community livelihoods.
It’s a call for collective effort from government, the private sector, and citizens to make productivity part of our everyday culture.
As the New Dawn Government continues to focus on delivering real results, Zambia’s transformation story is becoming one of visible progress. The country is steadily moving from potential to performance, entering a new era of purposeful growth and renewed national confidence.
