From Vision to Factories: How President Hichilema Is Delivering Real Economic Results

When we talk about leadership that delivers, we talk about President Hakainde Hichilema. The commissioning of the USD 110 million Trade Kings Group Glucose and Starch Manufacturing Plant in the Lusaka Multi-Facility Economic Zone is not just another ribbon-cutting ceremony, it’s a loud statement that Zambia is open for serious business.
This single investment propels Zambia into Africa’s top three producers of glucose and starch, standing shoulder to shoulder with Egypt and South Africa. More importantly, it creates over 1,000 jobs and guarantees a stable market for 126,000 tons of maize annually.
That’s real empowerment not just figures on paper, as our farmers, youth, and women in Sinzongwe and beyond find new space to thrive in the maize value chain.
Under President Hichilema’s leadership, Zambia has moved from rhetoric to results. The President’s relentless pursuit of investment, his hands-on approach as the nation’s chief economic ambassador, and his insistence on transparency and accountability are restoring confidence in our economy.
The Bally administration has built a business environment that works, one where investors are welcomed, not frustrated; where innovation is encouraged, not stifled. These are the policies that turn visions into factories, and factories into jobs.
To every Zambian, the message is clear, this is our time to produce, to innovate, and to take ownership of our country’s value chains.
